Buying a Hyperbaric Chamber in Ireland: A Complete Guide
Buying a hyperbaric chamber is a significant investment — and there is much more to the decision than choosing a pressure and comparing prices.
The right chamber can give you convenient, long-term access to HBOT. The wrong chamber can leave you with equipment that doesn't suit your space, intended use or operating requirements.
ReWell supplies both soft-shell and hard-shell chambers for home and professional use across Ireland and Northern Ireland, with delivery, installation and ongoing guidance included.
Before You Look at Models
Start With Five Questions
It is easy to start a chamber search by looking at specifications. But pressure and model names only make sense once you know what the chamber actually needs to do.
Before comparing products, define these five things.

Step 1
Decide How the Chamber Will Be Used
A chamber for one person at home is a different purchase from a system that will operate inside a clinic, sports organisation or commercial wellness facility.
Home & Personal Use
Priorities often include convenience, footprint, accessibility, ease of use and making regular HBOT realistic within everyday life.
- Available space in the home
- How frequently it will be used
- Lying vs seated access
- Whether multiple family members may use it
- Long-term value compared with rental or clinic visits
Clinic & Professional Use
Commercial buyers need to think beyond the chamber itself to operational requirements, user turnover, staff responsibilities and the wider client experience.
- Expected daily user numbers
- Pressure requirements
- Room and installation requirements
- Staff training and operating procedures
- Safety governance and ongoing support
Step 2
Choose Between Soft-Shell and Hard-Shell
This is one of the biggest decisions in the buying process.
Soft-shell and hard-shell systems differ in construction, operating pressure, footprint, installation and cost.
Accessible Ownership
Soft-Shell
ReWell Range · 1.5 ATA
Soft-shell chambers provide the most accessible route into chamber ownership and are commonly considered for regular personal and home use.
ReWell offers lying, seated and accessible configurations, giving buyers options around available space and mobility.
Higher-Pressure Systems
Hard-Shell
Multiple Models & Pressure Ranges
Hard-shell systems use rigid chamber construction and extend into higher pressure ranges, making them relevant for professional facilities and buyers with more specific pressure or installation requirements.
ReWell's current sales range includes 2.0, 2.4 and 2.5 ATA hard-shell configurations.

Professional & Long-Term Installation
Hard-Shell Ownership Opens Up a Wider Range of Systems
ReWell's hard-shell ownership range extends beyond the models available for rental.
Current options include slimline and full-length chambers, seated systems, larger seated formats and higher-pressure monoplace chambers.
That breadth is useful — but it also makes expert selection more important. A larger or higher-pressure chamber is not automatically the right investment for every setting.

Step 3
Understand ATA Before You Buy
ATA means atmospheres absolute and describes the total pressure inside the chamber.
Pressure matters because different chamber systems operate at different ranges and HBOT research uses different pressures depending on the setting and protocol.
But ATA is only one part of the buying decision.
ReWell's current 2.5 ATA systems require training before use. The currently advertised hard-shell systems up to 2.0 ATA and selected 2.4 ATA models do not carry the same training requirement on the sales range.
Don't buy the highest ATA simply because the number sounds more advanced. Buy the chamber that fits the intended use.
Step 4
Look Beyond the Headline Price
Two chambers with similar specifications can represent very different purchases depending on what happens after you place the order.
ReWell's current chamber purchases include four important parts of the ownership process.
This is an important distinction from buying specialist equipment online and then being left to work out installation, operation and ongoing use yourself.
Finance options are also currently available across ReWell's chamber range.
What Does Ownership Cost?
Budget for the Chamber You Actually Need
Hyperbaric chamber pricing varies considerably depending on construction, pressure, size and configuration.

Displayed 2.5 ATA Hard-Shell
Current displayed 2.5 ATA hard-shell pricing, excluding VAT.
Some chamber models require individual pricing, so the true comparison is not simply the headline purchase price.
Consider pressure, chamber format, included installation, training requirements, finance, ongoing support and how frequently the system will actually be used.
Prices displayed on ReWell's sales range are VAT-exclusive where a price is shown. Confirm current pricing and model availability before purchase.

Step 5
Plan the Installation Before You Purchase
A chamber should be selected for the space it is actually going into — not purchased first and figured out later.
Measure the Space
Consider chamber dimensions, entry access, surrounding clearance and how the room will function once installed.
Confirm Requirements
Electrical, oxygen, ventilation and site requirements can differ depending on the chamber and intended setting.
Plan Operation
For professional settings, decide who will operate the chamber, how clients will be managed and what safety procedures need to be in place.

Talk to Davitt Before You Choose a Chamber
ReWell chamber purchases are guided by Davitt Meenaghan, IBUM-certified Hyperbaric Safety Officer.
“Buying a chamber should start with what you actually need it to do. Once we understand the people using it, the setting, pressure requirements and how often it will be used, choosing the right system becomes much clearer.”
Davitt can help you compare soft-shell and hard-shell systems, pressure, available space, installation requirements, rental versus ownership and the practical responsibilities that come with operating the chamber.
For professional buyers, that conversation can also include staff use, operational procedures and building a safe framework around the chamber from the outset.

Is delivery and installation included?
Yes. ReWell's current chamber purchase offer includes professional delivery and installation across all 32 counties of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
What support do I receive after buying?
ReWell provides personalised guidance around chamber use and ongoing direct support after purchase rather than ending the relationship once installation is complete.
Do hard-shell chambers require training?
Training requirements depend on the system. ReWell's current 2.5 ATA hard-shell models require training before use. Other advertised hard-shell models may have different requirements depending on chamber and setting.
Can I finance a hyperbaric chamber?
ReWell currently offers finance options across its chamber range. Current terms and eligibility should be confirmed directly with ReWell when you enquire.
Can I rent a chamber before deciding to buy?
Yes. ReWell offers both soft-shell and hard-shell rental. If you later choose to purchase, up to six months of eligible rental payments can be credited towards your chamber purchase.
Is a higher-pressure chamber always better?
No. The correct pressure depends on the intended use, chamber environment, operating requirements and the person or facility using it. Choosing purely on the highest ATA can result in buying more chamber than you need — or the wrong system for your intended use.
Can clinics, sports facilities or wellness centres buy from ReWell?
Yes. ReWell supplies chambers for both private and professional settings, including clinics, sports and recovery facilities, wellness and longevity environments and other suitable commercial locations.
